Week before last, I had an exciting interview with a reporter from the Las Vegas Review Journal. Michael Lyle and I talked for about an hour about the potential impact of my book, The Treason of Mary Louvestre, on those interested in an unusual story of heroism and courage. I shared with him how I came to discover the story of this little known heroine and how her selfless act affected the course of the Civil War. I told him how I met Alex Haley and what his Pulitzer Prize winning book Roots meant to our nation in the 70s and beyond. Readers of his article will hopefully find my book a compelling and informative read. This article should post in the current edition of the neighborhood View. I’m looking forward to seeing it. If you get the Southeast/Henderson View, look for it and I’d love to hear from you.
