On Sunday, I spoke to the Literary Guild Book Club in Sun City McDonald Ranch in Henderson.  And what an attentive audience they were.  They were full of good questions, and the fact that they were such involved readers was just the fun-est ticket!  I was happy to talk with them about my work with Alex Haley, as they asked about those efforts.  Together with that, they were very interested in my own work.  Welcoming and friendly, they could not have been more supportive of me as a new author, and promoting others to read The Treason of Mary Louvestre.  I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Emilie, Carol, Karen, and all those who turned out for a swell afternoon together.

You just never know where your blessings are going to come from.  Yesterday mine came from the honor of being a guest on the Las Vegas radio show, “Conversations With Cogee.”  The man, Cogee, was amazing.  His facility to make me feel easy at the microphone to talk and his own authenticity standing out front made me feel like the Bible says:  “Loose thy shoe from off thy feet.  The place whereon thou standest is sacred.”  Truly this man talks the talks and walks the walk.  He is the genuine article.  I would be too grateful to call him “friend.”

While I enjoyed having the opportunity to share the story of my book, The Treason of Mary Louvestre, with Cogee’s radio audience, I feasted on yet another treat.  In the studio was a young girl aged ten.  She was pure delight.  In an instant, it was clear that this beautiful charmer had “presence.”  She assisted her talk show host father dutifully while engaging his guests, seeing to their needs and comfort.  Personable, intelligent, sweet as she could be, my opportunity to get to know her was divine.  She was, without question, an appointment of her name.  That name is Miracle.
